Tyler Rath

Tyler Rath brings deep agricultural and financial expertise to his clients, backed by a lifelong connection to California’s Central Valley. Originally from Los Banos, Tyler earned his undergraduate degree from Long Beach State and went on to complete his MBA at Fresno State.

He began his career at JD Heiskell’s, where he oversaw commodity contracts and developed a strong foundation in agricultural markets and risk management. Tyler later transitioned into banking, spending more than a decade managing client relationships across a broad range of sectors, including dairy, tree crops, annual crops, vineyards, wineries, and agricultural processing operations. His experience in both production agriculture and finance allows him to understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing today’s ag businesses.

In recent years, Tyler founded and now operates Big Valley Capital and Big Valley Advisors, where he provides strategic advisory services and customized financial solutions to farmers, dairy operators, and agricultural enterprises throughout the region.

Tyler and his wife, along with their three children, reside in Oakdale, California.
